<p>The bearing ring (1) has a section (5) facing radially inwards on one side and the inner end (7) of this section has an inner edge (8) and an outer edge (9) with two different diameters, the inner edge having the smaller diameter and being located on the roll body side. The bearing cage (2) extends in an axial direction into the inwards-facing section of the ring and includes at least one retaining section (10) that projects over a greater radial distance than the inner edge of this ring section in the outwards direction. The bearing comprises an outer bearing ring and a roll body (3) housed inside a bearing cage. An Independent claim is also included for a method for assembling the bearing by inserting the cage into the ring so that the retaining sections snap-fits into place behind the inner end of the inwards-facing ring section, and a method for operating the bearing, during which the retaining sections are removed due to wear or the diameter of the inner end of the inwards-facing ring section is reduced due to wear.</p> |
