POROUS CERAMIC HAVING DOUBLE PORE STRUCTURE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Provided is a porous ceramic for use in a precision machine component, which has high bonding force between particles and a double pore structure in which the surface pore structure is different from the inside pore structure. CONSTITUTION: The porous ceramic comprises a ceramic material wherein the surface and inside thereof are formed of the same ceramic material, the pore structure of the surface and that of the inside are different. The porous ceramic is prepared by the method comprising the steps of: providing two kinds of ceramic powder having average particle sizes different each other and formed of the same material; adding a flux to the ceramic powder having a larger average particle size so as to substantially equalize the firing shrinkages of both ceramic powder; molding the ceramic powder having a smaller average particle size and incorporating the ceramic powders having a larger average particle size thereto, and molding the product to obtain a molded product; and firing the molded product.
