Method for rendering fingerprints visible

Fingerprints are rendered visible by subjecting or exposing a substrate surface to a fuming agent comprising an agent that reacts with fatty substances of the fingerprints and an additive that marks a film-like material coated or impregnated with reactive substance; placing a film-like material portion in a close position to the surface; and submitting the exposed portion of the film-like material to a developing or visualization process. An independent claim is also included for a radioactively labeled cyanoacrylate fuming agent used for rendering fingerprints visible.
