PURPOSE: An apparatus for opening and closing an opening of a chute adjacent to a conveyor shuttle is provided to prevent the accidental fall from the opening by opening and closing the opening adjacent to the conveyor shuttle according to the movement of the shuttle. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for opening and closing an opening of a chute(110) adjacent to a conveyor shuttle comprises an opening/closing plate(10) arranged to move to the vertical upper part of the chute adjacent to the conveyor shuttle to open the chute opening; a fixing block installed to a side end of the opening/closing plate, wherein a first and a second fixing protrusions are integrally formed in the fixing block; an operation shaft(50) penetrating the fixing block, wherein a contact arm(52) is vertically connected to a side of the operation shaft and a projection is connected to the other side; a first operation part(70) installed to a connection plate(134a) fixed to a face of a shuttle frame(134); and a second operation part(90) which is installed to a provision frame(12) on the shuttle moving passage and which has a contact member(92) supported by the second fixing protrusion of the fixing block.
