A stretcher having a mechanism for lifting a stretcher body shape-changeable from a bed to a chair, and vice versa, comprising the stretcher body (2) shape-changeable to the chair by folding, a cart (3) supporting the stretcher body (2), a quadric parallel link mechanism (4) having four rotational pivots forming a parallelogram and allowing two of the rotational pivots to be fixed to the cart (3), and supporting the stretcher body (2) by the portion thereof moving parallel with the cart (3), and an extendable mechanism (5) disposed in such a positional relation that the rotation of the quadric parallel link mechanism (4) can be restricted and the quadric parallel link mechanism (4) can be rotated by the extension and retraction. |
