FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves sewing interrupted sutures 1 mm far from wound boundary. The sutures are applied in the thickened scalped flap zone on each side of the wound. Then cornea is pierced 1.0-1.5 mm far from the preceding suture in the thinned narrow scalped flap zone. Needle with a thread is brought through cornea layer under the scalped flap and exit pierce is carried out 1 mm far from wound mouth edge on the other side. The thread is overthrown over the thinned narrow scalped flap part and a knot is tightened outside of the scalped flap zone. The flap is pressed against the corneal wound and several sutures are applied 1-1.5 mm far from the preceding suture not approaching the scalped flap apex closer than 0.5-1 mm. ^ EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of complications.
