PURPOSE: A method for managing statistical data of a switching system using a file management system is provided to collect statistical data on various events by an MP(Main Processor), and to transmit the statistical data to an OMP(Operating Maintenance Processor), then to store the statistical data in file type by the OMP, thereby reducing system load and adding various events and statistical items. CONSTITUTION: A call processing data collection block of an MP periodically collects various statistical data at certain intervals through a specific program(S410). A data processing block receives the periodically collected statistical data, converts the statistical data, and stores the converted statistical data in a local memory(S420). The data processing block decides whether a statistical data request signal is transmitted from a statistics execution block of an OMP(S430). If so, the data processing block extracts the corresponding statistical data from the local memory, and transmits the statistical data to the statistics execution block(S440). The statistics execution block directs the statistical data to be stored in a disk(S450). If a statistical data output request command is inputted, the statistics execution block extracts the statistical data and directs the statistical data to be outputted to an operator PC(S460).
