PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a SATA (Serial Advance Technology Attachment) storage device operating a nonvolatile semiconductor memory by a SATA protocol as an interface realizing high data transmitting speed. SOLUTION: This SATA storage device includes at least one nonvolatile semiconductor memory for storing the data, a SATA adaptor connected to a SATA cable, transmitting the data to the SATA cable, and receiving the data from the SATA cable, a memory controller for controlling the nonvolatile semiconductor memory in accordance with a data signal received from the SATA adaptor, and a SATA device controller connected between the SATA adaptor and the memory controller for interfacing a signal transmitted and received between the SATA adaptor and the memory controller.
