PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk player in which no contact is made between a pair of dome halves 81 and 82 and a disk 30 on a turntable 3. SOLUTION: The disk player is provided with a turntable base 32 which is provided with the turntable 3, a table upward and downward moving mechanism which moves the base 32 in up and down, the pair of dome halves 81 and 82 which covers the disk 30 on the turntable 3 and a cover opening and closing mechanism which opens and closes the halves 81 and 82. A spring mechanism is provided for the cover opening and closing mechanism. A disk guard section 37 is provided to the base 32 in a projecting manner so as to prevent the halves 81 and 82 from touching the disk 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
