<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content transfer device and a content transfer program which can transfer card contents while ensuring security for the card. <P>SOLUTION: At first, a CI-a server invalidates temporarily the card contents such as a service domain (SD) or an application (AP) stored on an EPROM for a card with an expiration date expired 20 in this content transfer device and sets up a life cycle for the card with the expiration date expired 20 on a temporarily terminated status in which the card contents are made unavailable. Secondly, an IC card reader/writer 11 reads out the card contents from an original card in the temporarily terminated status.
