PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water and water mixture faucet controlling not electrically but mechanically an on-off valve, which is capable of easily cutting off or supplying hot water or water and easily operated by either right or left hand and easily cleaned. SOLUTION: The faucet is connected to a hot water supply pipe and a water supply pipe. Hot water supplied through the hot water pipe and water supplied through the water pipe are mixed together to be at an appropriate temperature through a temperature adjusting valve, and the water mixture is supplied or cut off through an opening/closing valve. The valve is connected to a push button opening/stopping means provided in the faucet in an interlocking way. The valve is mechanically opened by pushing the push button opening/stopping means, and mechanically closed by pushing it again. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
