<p>PURPOSE: To make an injector as compact as possible by conformably aligning an armature serving as a fuel metering valve and an armature operating a mixture delivery valve along a common axis, and by arranging a pair of solenoids actuating each armature between both armatures. CONSTITUTION: On a valve seat 32 surrounding a fuel inlet 22, an armature 36 forming a fuel metering valve member is provided in such a way as to be biased by a spring 74. On a mixture delivery valve seat 48, a mixture delivery valve member 50 is provided in such a way as to be biased through an actuating rod 56 and an armature 72 by a spring 68. Each of the armatures 36, 72 are drive-controlled with solenoid coils 12, 13. In this case, each of the solenoid coils 12, 13 are conformably aligned along a common axis between each of the armatures 36, 72. The armature 36 is actuated to displace from the valve seat 32 when the coil 12 is energized, and the armature 72 is actuated to displace the mixture delivery valve member 50 from the valve seat 48 when the coil 13 is energized.</p> |
