PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus capable of easily searching transmission data for each destination. SOLUTION: This communication apparatus 100 is a communication apparatus capable of reading an original image, converting the image into predetermined image data, and transmitting the converted data via a transmission line. The apparatus 100 is provided with a transmission destination designating means for designating a transmission destination to which the image data are transmitted, transmitting means 30 for transmitting the image data to the destination designated by the transmission destination designating means, attaching means 20 detachably attached with an external memory capable of storing the image data, folder creating means for creating a folder having the name correlated to the destination designated by the transmission destination designating means in the external memory 20a attached on the means 20, and control means for storing the image data transmitted by the means 30 in the folder correlated to the destination designated by the transmission destination designating means.
