PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tap with a dustproof function that completely covers in a sealed state a plug blade insertion hole at the nonuse of the tap by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The tap comprising a lower body 1 provided with a blade-receiving fitting having a blade receptacle B where a plug blade A is inserted and an upper body 2 combined with the lower body further comprises a blade-receptacle cover hole 2a formed in the upper body, a blade-receptacle cover 3 installed on the upper body keeping its top plate 3a nearly on the same plane in the blade receptacle cover hole, a plug blade insertion hole 3b formed in the blade-receptacle cover, a shutter 4 pivotably fitted by covering lower sides of the pair of plug blade insertion holes, and an energizing means 5 for constantly energizing the shutter in the downward direction of the plug blade insertion hole.
