PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split sleeve capable of reducing the probability that an optical loss exceeds a prescribed value in attaching/detaching a ferrule. SOLUTION: The resin-made split sleeve for connecting an optical fiber terminal is provided with a slit in the axial direction of a cylindrical body. The sleeve is composed of an engaging part that holds the optical fiber terminal by being engaged with a ferrule constituting the end part of the optical fiber terminal, and an inserting part that has a prescribed shape in the inner face and that is for inserting such ferrule. In addition, the sleeve is characterized in that a specific relational expression is fulfilled by the length d in the axial direction of the chamfered part of the ferrule, the inner diameter R<SB>4</SB>of the end face of the ferrule, the inner diameter R<SB>3</SB>of the ferrule, the inner diameter R<SB>2</SB>of the inserting part in the boundary between a section X and a section Y, the inner diameter R<SB>1</SB>of the engaging part in the sharp edge part, and the length b in the axial direction of the section X.
