OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission system which easily ensures a required transmission characteristic so as to realize an inexpensive wireless transmission system.

SOLUTION: A wireless base station 2 has an array antenna comprising n antenna elements (n is an integer of 2 or more). A center station 1 generates an IF signal modulated by a data signal to be transmitted and n first and second local oscillation signals each having a different single frequency. The wireless base station uses a plurality of the local oscillation signals to respectively apply frequency conversion to the n IF signals and outputs n RF signals respectively having the same frequency to each antenna element. Further, the wireless base station respectively gives a prescribed phase to the first local oscillation signals which the center station generates to control the phase of each RF signal respectively outputted to the antenna element to have the prescribed phase.
