TWO-DIMENSIONAL CODE PATTERN, PATTERN CARRIER MEDIUM BEARING SAME, METHOD OF GENERATING SAME, AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR READING TWO-DIMENSIONAL CODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-dimensional code pattern which can be printed together with documents by a general-purpose printer and allows continuous retouch information to be accurately acquired.

SOLUTION: The two-dimensional code pattern includes a code frame for demarcating a certain area by dots arranged at prescribed intervals and a data arrangement area which is placed in the code frame and represents position information and document discrimination information by dots arranged at prescribed intervals. The position information represents the position of a two-dimensional code on a document page, and the document discrimination information represents discrimination information of a document page to be printed together with the two-dimensional code. It is preferable that the dots have a diameter being at least twice the length od a minimum dot unit of a printer to be used to print the document page and the prescribed intervals are about 6 times the length of the diameter of dots.
