METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OPTICAL FIBER PAIR IDENTIFICATION, LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND LIGHT RECEIVING DEVICE USED FOR OPTICAL FIBER PAIR IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly carry out the optical fiber pair identification even if wavelengths of communication light and that of identifying light are near-by, wherein the wavelength of communication light quickly becomes longer corresponding to recent high-speeding up and widening a bandwidth of the communication light.

SOLUTION: A light source device 10 is provided with a luminous control part 13 controlling a lighting action of the light source for a light signal 12, wherein the light control part controls a period of on/off of the identifying light having a further longer period than the on/off period of the communication light. A light receiving device 20 is provided with a sample detection circuit, the sampling period of which is further longer than that of communication light but shorter than that of identifying light. Therefore, this method enables the discrimination between the communication light and the identifying light based on a difference of on/off periods not depending on the difference of both the wavelengths, therefore the optical fiber pir identification can be correctly carried out even though the wavelengths of the communication light and that of identifying light are near-by.
