PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug type connector for preventing operability when inserting the plug type connector into a jack type connector from being impaired, even if performing dustproof for a contact part. SOLUTION: The dustproof is performed for the contact part 21 by a movable cover 6 mounted on a housing 1. By fitting a sliding piece part 61 of the movable cover 6 into a guide 42 of a projection 32 supporting the contact part 21, tilt of the movable cover 6 at an advancing and retracting time is prevented. By using a coil spring for a spring body 8 to bias the movable cover 6, a hole part 49 insertable with a rod-shaped tool is opened at a forming portion of a spring receiving seat 48 for supporting one end of the coil spring. By forming an other surface 30 of the projection 32 into a convex curve, the projection 32 is made easy to be removed from the jack type connector inserted with the projection 32.
