摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation membrane module which is used as a gas separation membrane, an ultrafiltration membrane, a micro-filtration membrane or the like and has water resistance and chemical resistance particularly and to provide a method for manufacturing the separation membrane module. SOLUTION: This separation membrane module has a porous support 1, a first porous layer 3, a second porous layer 5, a separation membrane layer 7 and an impregnated layer 6. The support 1 consists ofα-alumina particles 2 having 0.1-5.0μm average particle size. The layer 3 is formed on the support 1, consists ofα-alumina particles 4 having 0.01-0.3μm average particle size and has 0.1-10.0μm thickness. The layer 5 is formed on the layer 3 and consists of any of a membrane of titania particles having 10-100 nm average particle size, a zirconia membrane, a composite membrane of titania and silica and a composite membrane of zirconia and silica. The layer 7 is formed on the layer 5 and has pores having 0.1-10 nm average pore size. The layer 6 is formed by impregnating the layer 3 with a part of the constituent(s) of the layer 5.
