PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation device of an artificial heart pump, or the like, enabling weight reduction and miniaturization. SOLUTION: The artificial heart pump 1 is provided with an impeller 20 which is rotated and sends out blood by being provided with a permanent magnet 123, and a casing 10 which houses the impeller 20 inside, functions as a stator by being provided with an electromagnet 113, forms a rotating magnetic field and rotates the impeller 20. Then, in the artificial heart pump 1, the electromagnet 113 is excited at a position where the magnetic field of the impeller is advanced for a prescribed advance angle to the magnetic field of the stator as a center. By such constitution, since the generation ratio of magnetic repulsive force generated between the permanent magnet 123 and the electromagnet 113 is made larger than the generation ratio of magnetic attraction force even during the rotation of the impeller 20, the impeller 20 is floated during its rotation.
