PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cigarette capable of efficiently smoking even in a short time and enjoying smoking in good taste again even when smoking is stopped on the way. SOLUTION: A cigarette body 1 is composed of a plurality of shaft-like parts 2 and 3 each having tobacco leaf parts 5 and 8 and these shaft-like parts are butted in the longitudinal direction and are connected in a state which is separable by a cylindrical body 4 covering the butted place. When smoking is finished, the ignited shaft-like part 3 is separated from the shaft-like part 2 on sucking port side and fire of the shaft-like part 3 is extinguished. In this case, a filter 9 may be disposed between the tobacco leaf part 5 of either one shaft-like part 2 and the tobacco leaf part 8 of the other shaft-like part 3 mutually butted.
