<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic system having an electrostatic charge potential stabilizer which prevents an adverse effect on image quality caused by electrostatic charge potential attenuated due to dark attenuation when the surface of a photoreceptor is electrostatically charged by a charging device in the course of forming an electrostatic latent image on the photoreceptor of the electrophotographic device. <P>SOLUTION: As shown in the figure, the electrostatic charge potential stabilizer has the charging device 2 which electrostatically charges the surface of the photoreceptor 1, and a surface electrometer 3 which measures the surface potential of the photoreceptor 1 right in front of a developing device 4. In the course of printing, a correction control voltage is calculated by a charging device control voltage calculation part 6 from a difference between an electrostatic charge potential actually measured by a surface electrometer 3 at fixed time intervals and a target electrostatic charge potential. The correction control voltage calculated is stored in the control voltage storage part 7. Also, a control voltage after correction is added to the charging device 2 through a charging device voltage control part 8. By repeating the correction operation at the fixed intervals, the charging potential is made closer to the target charging potential. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
