PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal system which can reduce communication time and lower its cost during re-communication when a communication with a two-sided communication function has generated an error and its line is disconnected. SOLUTION: A transmitter 1 sends a transmission number at a transmission, and a receiver 2 pairs the transmission number with an telephone number of the transmitter system 1 and stores it. The receiver 2 also stores received image in a information storage section 22, and when two sides are obtained, it records both sides in a recording section 24. When a transmission error occurs, the received images in the information storage section 22 is kept as it is. At a retransmission, the transmitter 1 sends the same transmission number as the one before the error, and the receiver 2 identifies the transmission by the telephone number and the transmission number and responds whether the image received in that transmission remains in the information storage section 22 or not. The transmitter 1 determines a transmission start page based on the response and sends only pages whose either or both sides are not concluded. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
