<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly update application software (application soft) to be used by individual CPU in a device provided with multi-CPU constitution. <P>SOLUTION: This update method has the multi-CPU constitution having a CPU 100 incorporated with a common operation system OS. The CPU 100 rewrites the application software to be used so as to update the function of a circuit module. When the application software of the CPUs 100 of a plurality of circuit modules is rewritten, the application software to be used by each of one and another CPUs 100 is transmitted to one circuit module and the application software of the both CPUs is rewritten by one CPU 100. In this case, one CPU 100 in charge of the program updating rewrites the application software of the both CPUs using a common rewrite program, or the application software is rewritten in parallel by rewriting them with a time sharing method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
