PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the fluctuation of a projected video by exhausting the hot air of a device body passing through the optical path of a free curved surface mirror from the front of a final projection mirror in a projection type picture display device using the free curved surface mirror. SOLUTION: By providing a ventilating device between the final reflection mirror of the lens barrel of a projection lens and two reflection mirrors other than a projection surface, air in the lens barrel is forcibly discharged.
