<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control unit which has a projecting pipe for making the inside of a case containing electronic components communicate with the outside, and has a filter in the projecting pipe, and can protect the electronic components arranged in the case from moisture. <P>SOLUTION: Electronic components are contained inside a sealed case 1. The pipe 3 projects from the upper surface (2a) of the case 1. The inside of the pipe 3 serves as a communicating port 4 for making the inside of the case 1 communicate with the outside. A cap type respiratory filter 10 is fit on the pipe 3 so as to cover the pipe 3. The inside of the case 1 and the outside are in a communicated state via a filter membrane 13 through the communicating port 4 of the pipe 3 and the outer peripheral portion of the pipe 3. A projection 20 is formed around the pipe 3 on the upper surface (2a) of the case 1 having the pipe 3.
