<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire stripper capable of stripping the coating material of a wire accurately and quickly. <P>SOLUTION: The wire stripper comprises a gripper 22 for gripping the coating material at the end part of a coated wire at the position of a specified length, and a cutter 24 for cutting the coating material while pinching at a position immediately behind the gripper, and strips the coating material from the core wire by pulling the cutter while pinching the coating material. A positioning rod 5 consisting of an outer tube 38 supported slidably on the machine casing 1 and a sensor rod 39 inserted into the outer tube is provided slidably back and forth. Furthermore, a sensor 42 for operating a motor starting sensor driving the gripper 22 and the cutter 24 is provided such that the sensor 42 detects the rear end part of the sensor rod 39 when it is pushed in by a specified stroke and the motor 7 is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
