PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless phone capable of utilizing a mounted radio function for an auxiliary function in the case of a speech within a range of not disturbing a speech function. SOLUTION: The cordless phone 1 is configured with a master unit 2 provided with a wireless communication section 5 that transmits / receives a voice signal or the like through a channel and makes two-way communication with a slave unit 3; and the slave unit 3 provided with the wireless communication section 5 for making two-way wireless communication with the master unit 2. The cordless phone 1 is configured such that at least either of the master unit 2 and the slave unit 3 is provided with the radio function section 14 to receive a radio broadcast program and uses the radio broadcast program as a notice sound or an effect sound for the cordless phone 1.
