PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform centralized monitoring of alarm sound output without greatly altering the existing system constitution. SOLUTION: In a remote apparatus 1, a data collector 3 collects final access times of files to be accessed by remote terminals 2-1 to 2-3 in the event of alarm sounding at specified time intervals. In an operation room 10, a data analyzer 14 in a sound alarm monitor terminal 12 compares the present final access time in a system A (remote terminal) with the previous final access time to decide whether a difference exists between both. If some difference exists, an output unit 15 outputs an alarm sound and indicates the name of a terminal corresponding thereto. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
