REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM, REMOTE CONTROL METHOD THROUGH PUBLIC LINE NETWORK, AND REMOTE CONTROL PROGRAM THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system, a remote control method, capable of controlling a remote control unit to be controlled under the management of a terminal connected to a public line from a remote terminal connected to a data communication network in real time and a remote control program therefor. SOLUTION: A remote terminal 1 transmits control information to a gateway 3 via the data communication network 2. The gateway 3 stores the received control information and informs via the public line network 4 a PSTN/ISDN terminal 5 about the reception of control information. The PSTN/ISDN (public switching telephone network/integrated services degital network) terminal 5 transmits to the gateway 3 a request for setting up a communication channel on the basis of the notice. Then the PSTN / ISDN terminal 5 acquires the remote control information from the gateway 3 through the established communication channel and controls the remote control unit 6 to be controlled.
