PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a threading mechanism, etc. from being broken by limiting the operation of the threading mechanism when attaching a needle cassette to a cassette attaching part after detaching the needle cassette from the cassette attaching part in a state where the power source of a sewing apparatus is cut off. SOLUTION: The sewing apparatus is provided with a threading limiting mechanism 100 which limits the operation of the threading mechanism 16B when attaching the cassette to the cassette attaching part after detaching the thread cassette from the cassette attaching part in the state where the power source of a sewing apparatus is cut off. This threading limiting mechanism 100 comprises a holding mechanism 101 which holds the threading mechanism 16B at a stand-by position for prohibiting operation even when the thread cassette pushes the movable member 92 of the threading mechanism 16B and which is provided with a stopper member 102, a pulse motor 44 and a controller.
