PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance heat exchange performance by wetting the whole of heat transmission surface in a heat transmission plate by a first fluid. SOLUTION: A first fluid passage 2 in the plate type heat exchanger is constituted by a large number of inclination passages 4A, 4A and 4B, 4B formed on the respective heat transmission plates 1A, 1B and inclined in an opposite direction each other at a predetermined inclination angle against a vertical direction. The inclination passages 4A, 4A at the heat transmission plate 1A side and the inclination passage 4B, 4B at the heat transmission plate 1B side are constituted so as to be communicated with each other. In the process that the first fluid X flowing in the inclination passages 4A, 4A at the heat transmission plate 1A side or the inclination passages 4B, 4B at the heat transmission 1B side downwardly flows down, it flows into the inclination passages 4B, 4B at the heat transmission plate 1B side or the inclination passages 4A, 4A at the heat transmission plate 1A side.
