摘要 Gene (I) containing a sequence that encodes a hydroxynitrile lyase (HNL) and produced using a combination of primer 1, based on the 5'-region of the mdl gene of Prunus serotina or P. amygdalus and/or primer 2, based on the 3'-region of an HNL isoenzyme from the same species, is new. Gene (I) containing a sequence that encodes a hydroxynitrile lyase (HNL) and produced using a combination of primer 1, based on the 5'-region of the mdl gene of Prunus serotina or P. amygdalus and/or primer 2, based on the 3'-region of an HNL isoenzyme from the same species, where the primers are used for amplification, with a DNA polymerase, using DNA of the (I)-containing organism as substrate, then the amplicon cloned Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) recombinant protein (II) produced by heterologous expression of (I) from P. amygdalus in heterologous cells; (2) fusion or heterologous protein (IIa) with HNL activity; and (3) producing (S)- or (R)-cyanohydrins (III), using (II) or (IIa).
