<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery with excellent reliability at high temperatures, by improving the reliability at high temperatures. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium ion secondary battery is provided with a positive electrode having a lithium contained composite oxide as a positive electrode active material, an organic substance, an organic electrolyte, and a negative electrode, and the positive electrode is covered by the organic substance at its surface side facing the negative electrode. Thereby, contact between the positive electrode active material and the negative electrode side residues at high temperatures in the battery can be suppressed, its temperature rise and its reaction with the negative electrode side residues can be prevented, and the battery can therefore keep reliability even at high temperatures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
