PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system capable of realizing AEB photography without changing a diaphragm aperture and exposure time. SOLUTION: In the diaphragm device having a mechanical diaphragm to change the diaphragm aperture and a material filter to change transmittance, the combination of the aperture of the mechanical diaphragm, the transmittance of the material filter and the exposure time is set to a desired value when a photographing mode is employed in which photographing is performed at appropriate exposure or by making exposure longer or shorter than the appropriate exposure, and thereafter the exposure is changed by changing the transmittance of the material filter.
