<p>A process for waterproofing leather (1) includes pressing on the internal surface of the leather (1) at least one semi-permeable membrane (2) whose surface contacting the leather (1) is provided with a glue pattern. The glue pattern of the semi-permeable membrane (2) is preferably thermoadhesive, and therefore the pressing of the membrane on the leather (1) is preferably a hot pressing. Further, the semi-permeable membrane (2) is preferably elastic, non-porous and combined with a support sheet (3). The leather obtained by the process is also provided.</p> |
