PURPOSE: A radio communication system, a mobile station, a base station and a radio network controller are provided to reduce the load of the radio network controller during multicast communication. CONSTITUTION: Each of mobile stations(11-13,21,22,31,32,41-43) includes a response signal transmitter which transmits a response signal including a group ID identifying a multicast group A to one of base stations(10,20,30,40). The response signal responds to a control signal for the multicast group A to which the mobile station belongs. Each of base stations(10,20,30,40) includes a response signal transmitter which transmits at least one or more response signals among response signals transmitted from the mobile station which belongs in the same multicast group A to a radio network controller(50).
