SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING TO URL USING KEYWORD ON WIRELESS INTERNET

PURPOSE: A system and a method for connecting to a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) through a keyword on the wireless Internet are provided to connect to a wireless web site of an actual URL by inputting not all English URL but only a specified keyword. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal(101) is embedded with a browser for connecting to the wireless Internet. A keyword database(106) stores the English URL information of the web site(109) matched with the keyword. A keyword address converting server(105) searches the keyword inputted by a user through the mobile communication terminal from the keyword database and converts the keyword into the English URL depending on a search result. A gateway(107) connects to the web site through the Internet by using the URL received from the keyword address converting server. An exchanger(104) transfers the keyword inputted through the mobile communication terminal to the keyword address converting server and transmits a web page of the web site connected through the gateway to the mobile communication terminal.
