The claimed invention relates to a device for collecting liquid lubricant and slurry generated during drilling in walls, floors or ceilings made of hard materials using a liquid lubricant and a method for use of said device. The collecting device comprises a housing (10) surrounding a first chamber (14) and a second chamber (15) connected to a pump generating a negative pressure in said chambers (14, 15). The first (14) and second chamber (15) is open towards the surface of the wall, floor or ceiling that the device will align. The housing (10) is also provided with an opening (17) in the second chamber (17). The opening (17) is placed around the intended position of the drilling. The liquid lubricant and slurry generated during drilling are evacuated from the second chamber (15) by the pump and the opening (17) in the housing (10) sealed by a disposable cover placed in the opening (17). |
