FIELD: gas treatment. SUBSTANCE: sorbent is prepared in one-stage process by reaction of zinc and magnesium oxides with ammonium carbonate solution at 45-50 C for 1-2 h at ratio ammonium carbonate solution/zinc oxide/magnesium oxide = (2.5- 3):1:(0.005-0.12) followed by drying ammonium carbonate suspension at temperature increasing from 50 to 90 C to residual moisture 15-20%,heat treatment, grinding zinc oxide, mixing it with plasticizer, granulation, drying and sorting granules.
