PURPOSE: A power control device turning on/off power of a PC using a telephone system is provided to sense a signal sound of a telephone, and to boot a computer by analyzing the signal sound in a power control box, thereby remotely using a PC or a terminal computer through client access software. CONSTITUTION: A remote management PC firstly makes a call to a telephone system connected to a client PC, and requests the telephone system to boot the client PC. A power control box of the client PC determines whether to boot the client PC as a control device. After booting the client PC, the remote management PC controls the client PC and obtains information. The power control box monitors the telephone system of the client PC, applies power to the client PC if the client PC satisfies a booting condition, and boots the client PC.
