PURPOSE: A flow rate controller of a multi air conditioner is provided to reduce length of a tube and cost by separately placing an LEV(Linear Expansion Valve) as a middle connecting part between an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. CONSTITUTION: An outdoor unit and a plurality of indoor units are connected through tubes, and flow rate of the indoor units is controlled by opening degree of the LEV. The flow rate of refrigerant is controlled by driving control signal output by an LEV driving part placed in the outdoor unit. The LEV part is separated from the outdoor unit by fixed distance, and connected by the single tube, and circulates refrigerant introduced from the outdoor unit to a plurality of the indoor units through the corresponding tubes following driving control signal output by the LEV driving part placed in the outdoor unit. The LEV part is separated from the outdoor unit to be connected through the single tube, and connected with a plurality of the indoor units through the independent tubes, respectively to reduce length of the tubes. A driving circuit controlling the LEV part is placed in the outdoor unit and connected with the LEV part only by a driving line to drive the LEV part so as to simplify constitution of the LEV part.
