PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-distance or wide-area jacket type marine structure interconnecting a plurality of jackets that prevents accumulation of expansion and contraction (thermal deformation, earthquake deformation and the like) in each jacket. SOLUTION: The plurality of jackets having a lower frame and a plurality of upper frames installed on the lower frame and interconnected with an expansion joint are juxtaposed on the seabed, and for adjacent jackets, one upper frame of one jacket and the upper frame of the other jacket opposed to the former upper frame are coupled. A pair of upper frames are installed on the lower frame and interconnected with a one-way expansion joint for expansion and contraction in one direction. Alternatively, four upper frames are installed on the lower frame and interconnected with one-way expansion joints for expansion and contraction in two directions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
