<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding retinoblastoma-related protein, and to provide an isolated protein having biological activity of transcription factor E2F and RB-avidity. <P>SOLUTION: The isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding retinoblastoma-related protein and the isolated protein having biological activity of transcription factor E2F and RB-avidity are provided. A vector containing isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding retinoblastoma-related protein is provided. A mammal cell containing the vector, an antibody against the retinoblastoma-related protein and a hybridoma line producing a monoclonal antibody against the protein are provided.
