<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving a dentition correcting material so that it may be free from deterioration, coloring and a soluble ingredient such as BPA, and have sufficient adhesive strength with no primer used, and a dental care material. <P>SOLUTION: The method for improving the polymer made dentition correcting material comprises a suitable combination of an immersing process, an activating process, a process for treating with a hydrophilic polymer, and a process grafting a monomer. The method can provide a polymer material such as polyolefin and a cyclic olefin polymer or copolymer with an improved hydrophilicity and adhesiveness with no lowered practical strength, resulting in the production of the polymer-made dentition correcting material which is excellent in pollution resistance, durable adhesiveness to a dental surface and transparency. Additionally, a cyclic olefin copolymer can be used to provide good adhesiveness even if no surface treatment is previously made. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
