METHOD FOR PRODUCING WEB COMPRISING UNIDIRECTIONALLY ORIENTED FILAMENT AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING THE WEB

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a web comprising filaments unidirectionally oriented at a higher level by effectively utilizing a high-speed fluid jetted from a spinning means. SOLUTION: An apparatus for producing the web comprises a melt-blowing die 3 having a plurality of nozzles 2 extruding a molten polymer as the filaments 4 and arranged therein and slits 6a and 6b jetting hot air for attenuating the filaments 4, a conveyor 1 collecting and transporting the filaments 4 extruded from the nozzles 2 and a pair of moving members 11a and 11b arranged under the melt-blowing die 3. The moving members 11a and 11b are oppositely arranged and mutually connected with the nozzles 2 and the slits 6a and 6b placed therebetween. The moving members 11a and 11b are reciprocated in the horizontal direction so as to approach and separate relatively to the center of a flow zone of the hot air. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
