METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANAGING DEPENDENCY IN DISTRIBUTED SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for managing dependency in a distributed system are provided to enable the determination for existence of one or more relationships to explain a full lifecycle related to at least one component of a computing environment by determining the existence of the relationships associated with a portion of the components of the computing environment. CONSTITUTION: A system includes four layers and an administrator manager GUI(Graphic User Interface)(285). A resource layer(215) includes a managed resource(220), a resource dependency repository(225), and a repository agent(230). A middleware layer(210) includes an administrative communication infra(235) containing a protocol and an ORB(Object Request Broker) used for making the component different with each other exchange information. A service layer(205) includes various general administration services(250) such as a policy, an event, and a directory used by various kinds of administrative applications. An application layer(200) includes various kinds of administrative applications using the general administrative server and/or a dependency relationship service(245).
