PURPOSE: A system for servicing a position-based differential charge using a portable terminal building a Bluetooth chip therein is provided to transmit information that a user is in a specific area to an accounting system of a mobile communication provider, and to differentially apply mobile communication charges according to the user's position, thereby maintaining position information accuracy as minimizing the charges. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal(10) building a Bluetooth chip therein transmits terminal and user information, and makes a call. An AP(Access Point)(12) recognizes the Bluetooth chip, receives or transmits the user and position information, and is located at a near distance from the terminal(10). A local commander(14) receives the user and position information to authenticate the information, transmits the authenticated information, and is located at a near distance from the AP(12). An Internet network(16) connects the local commander(14) with a mobile communication provider(20). A central commander(18) receives the user and position information, and transmits the received information to the mobile communication provider(20). An accounting system(22) receives the user and position information, decides whether the call is capable, and retransmits the information to the portable terminal(10).
