PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear disengagement preventive device for surely preventing sudden slipping-out of a sleeve meshing with a gear. SOLUTION: This gear disengagement preventive device 29 is applied to a transmission 11 having the gear 15, the sleeve 19 and a transmission mechanism 21, and has a projecting part 31, holes 34 and 35, recessed parts 36 and 37 and regulating members 38 and 39. The holes 34 and 35 are arranged in the sleeve 19, and are opposed to the recessed parts 36 and 37 arranged in a hub 18 when the sleeve 19 slides to a position for meshing with the gear 15. The regulating members 38 and 39 are housed in the holes 34 and 35 so as to be capable of protruding-retreating. The projecting part 31 is arranged on a shift fork 23 of the transmission mechanism 21, and moves the regulating members 38 and 39 according to sliding of the sleeve 19. The projecting part 31 regulates the shaft directional movement of the sleeve 19 by housing the regulating members 38 and 39 over both the holes 34 and 35 and the recessed parts 36 and 37 when the holes 34 and 35 are opposed to the recessed parts 36 and 37.
